Incentives for the arts, incentives for developers, incentives for businesses. All these incentives are why we don’t have the money for streets, water, sewer repairs.

Zero tax dollars should be spent on art. Art enthusiasts, pony up.

When the legislators complain about public servant pensions, they seem to exclude their own. They receive better pensions than any other state workers. Who is feeding from the trough?

The letter writer citing fatigue from the left was spot-on. Liberal opinion editors, cartoonists, politicians and judges having free rein to spread their skewed, left-wing agenda in the news media definitely tire rational-thinking conservatives. God help us all.

I thank God every day for The Eagle editorial staff holding our state leaders’ feet to the fire. Keep calling out their hypocrisies. We need alternative opinions to the crazy policies coming out of Topeka.

It is already legal to carry guns without specific training. Kansas is an open-carry state that allows it. The panic is just gun-control nuts trying to stop any step that favors the Second Amendment.

If Republicans and the Supreme Court rule against Obamacare, I’ll have to work till I die. Health insurance for retired state employees costs more per month than my mortgage payment.

Obama appears to be purposely ignoring the findings of his lead Cabinet agency on the Keystone pipeline issue.

Yet-another derailment and crude-oil fire, this time in Illinois. When will this president do the right thing and build the pipeline?

Let’s say Dick Cheney had used his own e-mail server for his government work. He would have been charged, convicted and sentenced within 24 hours by the attorney general. Why is Hillary Clinton still running free?

Americans spent $58 billion on pampered pets last year. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if starving children would get the same benefits?
