Gas at $2 per gallon was the first time I ever saw Reagan supply-side trickle-down economics working for me. That sure didn’t last long.
If people lose their health care, good. I’m sick of subsidizing other people’s wants. I’m sick of the government seeing the taxpayer as a source for subsidies for people who have not what they covet of others.
Hillary Clinton is so engulfed with cover-up scandals. Could she possibly be the long-lost daughter of Richard Nixon?
Clinton did say she “believed” in transparency. She did not say she practiced it. Kind of depends on what you mean by “is,” doesn’t it? What a load.
To the person who blamed tax-and-spend policies for high government debt: If we were taxing and spending, there wouldn’t be a problem. It’s the Republican don’t-tax-and-spend policies that have gotten us here. Afghanistan and Iraq are the only wars in history with no tax increase.
Iran’s president didn’t get elected by chanting “Death to America.” He was elected because he promised to normalize relations with the rest of the world. We should give him a chance.
Obama thinks he can negotiate with Iran with the same techniques used in his campaigns.
Does our president think all Americans are fools when he says any agreement he signs with Iran will stop its development of nuclear weapons? After all, you will all pay less and be able to keep your doctor.
The president wants to recognize Iran and Cuba as part of his legacy. Obama’s desire is so great that he has virtually no concessions from Cuba. Likewise, he will concede nuclear weapons to Iran for a deal.
If the city wants to put items up for a vote, it should never lump them all in one vote. They should be put on the ballot – one item, one vote. I am not voting to give money to create jobs.
I guess Alabama is the only state worse than good ol’ Kansas. Hate, bigotry and intolerance survive in the Bible Belt.
Gov. Sam Brownback’s resolve to not reconsider his tax policies is pretty easily understood by the old adage: “Don’t bother me with facts. My mind’s made up.”
Given the number of store closings at Towne East, Brownback’s tax cuts must really be working.
To the person advising their grandchildren to move away from Kansas because of Brownback: Be a leader and show them the way.
Go ahead – tell your grandchildren to move out of Kansas as soon as possible. That’s what cowards do – they run away.
If you’re advising your grandchildren to move away from Kansas, that’s good. We probably don’t need anyone with your genes in Kansas.
