Opinion Line (Dec. 14)

The two bridges replaced on North 235 highway were built quickly and efficiently. It is awesome what is accomplished in our city by intelligent and hardworking people.

If you love more earthquakes from fracking and more carbon gasses in the air, then you’ll love Donald Trump’s pick of Scott Pruitt to head the Environmental Protection Agency. Pruitt doesn’t believe in climate change and has sued the EPA. The fox will be guarding the henhouse.

Hiring an oil executive ally to head the EPA is as smart as hiring Willie Sutton to be secretary of the Treasury.

As it turns out, draining the swamp wasn’t such a great idea. Look at what has been crawling out.

I don’t know what world you are living in if you think this is a strong economy. Only reason consumer confidence is up is because Trump was elected and President Obama is on his way out.

Poor Donald Trump. It seems like a lot of people are picking on him. I guess he can dish it out but cannot take it in return.

I doubt the framers would have approved, but it seems that burning the American flag and displaying the Confederate flag are both protected.

How is it that renters who get burned out by fire never have renter’s insurance? Renter’s insurance is about $100 per year.

The new cars with the big black fronts are flat ugly. They look like the factory forgot to paint or chrome the grill.

I drive a school bus. I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who slows down to allow me to change lanes safely. Believe me, it makes a big deference for the safety of our children. It is difficult to maneuver these yellow bananas.

I love the fact that companies advertise on their automobiles and then drive like fools. Do they really think we are going to patronize the person who just cut us off?
