The problem with Wichita’s attitude is the leadership that wants to convert this underemployed blue-collar town into a haven for yuppies. They are ignoring their basic functions of providing good streets, safety and opportunity to work.
There is pessimism in Wichita caused by the Spirit AeroSystems divestiture and Boeing leaving town. When your wages and benefits go down or go away, there is bound to be negativity.
Career politicians have no idea what companies look for in a business location. Companies want a well-educated, skilled work force, reasonably priced housing, good transportation networks, and excellent schools to attract the best employees.
The $6 million going for the recount that probably won’t change anything would go a long way for wounded warrior or children charities.
Our president-elect’s latest Twitter fit is over the fact he lost the popular count by more than two million votes. He will oppose any vote recounts showing just how many U.S. citizens did not vote for him.
Let’s do a re-count and deport every illegal alien who was allowed to vote because he was granted a driver’s license in states such as California.
