Recounts for the presidential race in any state is a monumental waste of time, effort and money. Remember how Donald Trump was chastised for saying he wouldn’t automatically concede the race? Why is it OK for Hillary Clinton to now argue the point?

Trump bellows that the election was rigged and millions of fraudulent votes were cast. He castigates any attempt to do a recount as somehow cheating him out of his victory, even while admitting he won because of the rigged and fraudulent voting.

Clinton joining the recount movement must mean that she wants to lose twice. Crazy.

Instead of being elected by one vote, I think elections should be decided by a two out of three votes.

“Don’t act like we acted the past eight years” is the plea of conservatives after a Trump victory? Hypocrisy at its finest

Fidel Castro out, Trump in. What a great November.

I am so glad that former mayor Carlos Mayans came to the United States as a refugee in 1962 and not 2016. Now, he would have been viewed by so-called Christians as a threat and a potential terrorist.

You cannot prepare for an attacker who is using his vehicle and a kitchen knife.

Whoever expressed concern that the superintendent of the Wichita schools is overpaid must be living in a time warp. The salary of $229,408 with a $3,400 bonus is realistic for the responsibilities that go with that position.

I suppose you can rationalize the superintendent’s bonus as minimal, except when you consider that his taxpayer-funded salary is nearly six times what districts’ beginning salaries are.

Aretha Franklin butchered “The Star Spangled Banner” on Thanksgiving Day. Please, singers, it’s not about you. It’s about the stars on our flag, not the star behind the microphone.

When U.S. athletes win gold at the 2020 summer Olympics in Tokyo, the Aretha Franklin version of the national anthem should be played.

Someone asked me the other day why I am a Christian. I said, “Because I heard that if you go to Hell, every day is Black Friday.”
