Having conservative values has never been synonymous with condoning hate speech. Republicans fought against slavery and have historically fought to free Americans from oppression. These hateful incidents are massively disappointing and embarrassing to conservatives and our country alike.

Donald Trump supporters claim a majority of Americans voted for him. Only half of eligible voters went to the polls, and less than half of those voting approved of Trump. Like columnist Leonard Pitts, count me in the 75 percent majority who refused to support Trump’s hate programs.

If I remember my high school psychology, they call it projection when you feel the need to point out others’ faults that mirror your own. Is that correct, Leonard Pitts?

Pitts’ recent blathering was nothing but a racist, egotistical rant from a sore loser.

Columnist Cal Thomas whined about Democrats responding to Trump in the exact same fashion that Republicans have treated President Obama for the past eight years. And he left out Trump’s KKK support.

I wonder why Thomas doesn’t retire. As his recent column demonstrated, he is no longer even able to accurately represent his opposition’s arguments, much less rebut them.

Question for those who voted for Trump: Did you vote for the message or the messenger? If Hillary Clinton would have had the same message and delivered it the same way as Trump did, would you have voted for her?

So I hear Trump says he’ll only take $1 of his $400,000 salary. Makes sense, as it’s clear we’ll get what we paid for. On the other hand, the remaining $399,000 can go toward paying the taxes he hasn’t paid in the past 18 years.

When you go to the doctor and need lab work done, be sure that the lab tech or medical assistant wears gloves. If not, the site is contaminated. After they clean the site, do not let them touch the skin with ungloved fingers.

As a bicyclist, you must obey all traffic signs and signals and use hand signals to let others know what you plan to do. I wish the police would hand out tickets to these cyclists who are endangering everyone.
