Kansas can’t learn. Donald Trump is just another Gov. Sam Brownback, and look what he has done to our state.

Kris Kobach going to Washington, D.C.: good or bad for Kansans?

Did I miss something? Were conservatives in the streets rioting when President Obama was elected?

Trump actually came in second in the vote Tuesday. In every other western democracy in the world, the person who gets the most votes wins the election. Not the U.S. It has happened twice in the past five elections.

All these anti-Trump ilk rioting in the streets just prove they are unfit for society.

House Speaker Paul Ryan says Trump has a mandate after the election. To be clear, Clinton narrowly won the popular vote. That is not a mandate; it is a call for compromise.

I was never an Obama fan, a political unknown with minimal experience. But he was my president, our president, so I gave him a chance, and for better or worse, this great country survived. Love Trump or hate him, we owe him the same consideration.

Republicans need to put a sock in it about “unifying the country.” GOP leaders met on Inauguration Day 2009 and swore to block and obstruct everything Obama did.

It’s a bewilderment to media outlets how Trump prevailed. But, thankfully, half of the voters are concerned for the moral and constitutional values of this country. Half of the voters believe he will stand by these and be supportive of our core values.

To take clearer pictures after the election, it’s time to use the BLSR lens: bigotry, lying, sexual predator, racist. God help us all.

Take heart, America, and continue to celebrate our diversity. Even though we didn’t elect our first woman president, we did elect our first orange one.

I was excited to see that there was a newspaper insert on Shocker basketball, until I saw the cover of it. Football? What an insult to the best sports program in Wichita. Go, Shocker basketball.

TV and radio news announcers: There are no “eggs” in “exit.” It is correctly pronounced “x-it.” And the “t” in “often” is silent.
