Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby says they will look at stopping court storming and profane chants. I’m sure new rules prohibiting these things will stop college students, who also follow rules against underage drinking, cheating in class and girls staying in boys’ dorm rooms overnight. What a joke.

It just goes to show you how much other college basketball fans revere KU if they have to storm the court after a win. Thanks for showing the appreciation.

The Jayhawks could have controlled the court-storm situation at KSU better if they hadn’t played like KU’s football team during the game.

Does someone have to get killed before court storming is stopped? One sure way to put a halt to it is for the NCAA to step in with very severe action. Suspend the responsible school from all NCAA competitions for a certain amount of time.

Mayoral candidate Tracy Stewart calls smoking marijuana a victimless crime. But when it’s your teenager who has a problem, you and your spouse become victims and the search for an answer consumes most of your daily life.

As a health care professional, I have very mixed feelings about marijuana. It is a medicine and, like other medicines, abused, causing great harm. On the other hand, if it helps Wichita become more like Denver, I say bring it on.

The problem with schools being short of money is the districts’ own fault generated from years of having the rationale of “use it or lose it.” I have seen way too many books used for less than two years, if used at all.

So now cursive handwriting is “old school”? If that’s the case, why do students need spelling? They all have spell-checking. They don’t need math either; they all have calculators. May as well skip history also, as most of the books now revise actual history anyway.

If we secure our borders 100 percent, our illegal immigrant problem would evaporate in two generations.

The main source of American corruption stems from the ridiculous notion that corporations are people. This is the main reason for the corrosive division within our states, and as a nation.

Say “no” to a third term of President Obama’s failed foreign policy. No Clinton. No Biden. No Democrat by any name as president in 2016.

Our enemies cut off heads and burn and bury people alive, and Obama says they have grievances against us and we must understand their violent actions, restore their economy and create jobs for them. This is something he’s not done for the American people in six years.

Forget the Republican Party. It has no agenda other than hating Obama.
