It is about time the rich pay the same taxes I do. Giving them tax breaks does not create jobs if no one is buying the products. Helping less-fortunate Americans buy food, etc., would stimulate this country and create jobs.
Putting aside whether or not income tax is even constitutional, God only asked for 10 percent, and that was in the Old Testament. Seems to me that the government forcing you to give more than God required of people in the old days is slightly twisted.
Shifting money away from public education and other public accounts to fund tax cuts for the rich is greedy and selfish. I wonder what the Bible says about that.
It doesn’t take Columbo to figure out the culprits in our state deficit problem. Companies have outsourced thousands of good, taxpaying jobs. Also, big companies once paid their fair share of taxes.
Does the governor understand that we can only take so many of his shots of adrenaline before we overdose on his policies?
What a novel idea – cutting spending because you don’t have money. Thanks, Gov. Sam Brownback. Let’s hope it catches on in Topeka and Washington, D.C.
It’s a given that government at all levels finds it easier to support and pass higher levels of taxation rather than embrace efficiency measures, including reductions in tax rates.
Politicians are today’s mafia. Pushbacks, payoffs and intimidation are all part of the game.
The U.S. House has voted 56 times to repeal the Affordable Care Act – no vote any different from the first. Now why doesn’t it vote to repay the American taxpayer for the 55 votes that wasted time and money? I would lose my job if I acted this immaturely.
Even using Common Core math, Obama’s net positive value to the USA is zero.
We worry about waterboarding and ISIS burns a Jordanian alive. Wake up, liberals.
The Bible is replete with references to God’s design for only heterosexual marriage in the New Testament (Matthew 19:4-5). All other stances are wrong and self-serving due to only lust, not true, godly love.
Not having one’s children vaccinated is not a matter of choice. It is a matter of child abuse and should be prosecuted as such. I would cheerfully pay higher taxes to build more jails if they would be used to hold the convicted parents and to care responsibly for their children.
Cut the military, but don’t close any posts or bases in our state.
Keep your gibberish-speaking kids off of your commercials.
Somebody should have told Tiger Woods a long time ago that it’s a marathon and not a sprint.
