Opinion Line (Feb. 24)

It’s time for people to help, not hinder, Gov. Sam Brownback’s ideas about getting firearm manufacturers to move here. With this and beginning to change the marijuana laws, we may have a chance to change this state’s economy. We aren’t the Air Capital anymore. So what will we be?

Even state agencies (DCF) are moving jobs out of state: 30 jobs in Halstead were just lost to a Virginia company. Can we move the governor’s job with them?

My neighbor didn’t vote for Brownback, but he put his tax savings from his small business to good use. He bought a Mercedes SUV and keeps Brownback in his prayers each night.

Brownback can upgrade his political adviser now that Louie the Clown has been found.

Let’s send Louie the Clown to an appropriate place – the Kansas House of Representatives.

I am going to vote for Louie the clown for mayor. He will be a good improvement.

Glad we found the two clowns: One is in police custody, and the other is in the White House.

Rudy Giuliani had it about right. I also see little evidence that Obama loves America. The president has said he wants to “fundamentally transform America.” That isn’t the vision of someone who loves his country.

The Kochs are spending millions helping the less fortunate, providing education assistance and supporting communities. They do so by helping this country rid itself of the cancer called the Democratic Party.

John Boehner should be tried for treason. He and his ilk make America look bad, and divide us. Our enemies see that and act accordingly.

Scott Walker does not have a college degree. He is not fit to be the leader of the free world.

Elizabeth Warren is just a tad more of a communist than Stalin, Gorbachev and Putin put together.

Those identified as right-wingers are actually middle-of-the-roaders, and only seem like right-wingers when compared with the left.

Sigh. Another cartoonish adult River Festival button. Good thing The Eagle told us who was in the space suit. My first guess was that it was Obama. Next year can we get an upscale design with a little class? I’m totally over childish and silly.

The Wichita Eagle, the next National Enquirer. Nobody wants to hear about Dennis Rader or his daughter.
