Opinion Line Extra (Feb. 23)
Many more years of open borders and we will be in no better shape than the Middle East or Africa, with all the wars and different beliefs – just what President Obama wants for America. We will see Shariah law in our courts and public offices to an unbelievable degree.
Obama’s refusal to use the term “Islamic terrorism” is most telling about his sympathies. It is unbelievable that his administration would release impending plans to support the Iraqi retake of the country’s second-largest city of Mosul.
The ISIS assault on so many countries proves how wrong Obama was to even consider them JV.
Obama thinks he can make salaried workers be paid for overtime. The result will be they would have to work overtime to stay even with what they earn now. Adjustments will be made. Think about it.
Howard Dean’s complaining about Scott Walker not having a college degree is really about Walker’s not being indoctrinated with the leftist doctrine offered by one of the universities.
I think Mitt Romney would be a very good Republican candidate for president. He’s awkward, humorless, socially unaware and not all that bright. If he were just a little more mean-spirited and racist, he would personify everything the Republicans stand for. Go, Mitt.
I, too, am bone tired of hearing about racism. Maybe the reason we hear about racism so much is that there is so much racism.
Yes, racism is here, but from a Hispanic’s point of view, it comes from blacks as much as whites, maybe even more often. Maybe some of you should look in the mirror before you talk.
Seriously? Our state is drowning in red ink, thanks to our clueless governor, and our Legislature is wasting time considering a bill to prevent college professors from linking their names in opinion columns to their employers? Only in Kansas.
When will folks like Rep. Virgil Peck realize that raising tuition only leaves graduates with debt that makes it nearly impossible to buy the things that truly stimulate an economy? Fully fund colleges – like we used to – so kids come out nearly debt-free. Makes more sense than giving mythical “job creators” a pass on taxes.
If Wichita drivers weren’t so lazy, they would wash their tires before driving in the newly fallen snow. That way the snow would stay white, clean and pretty for all of us to enjoy much longer.
I had so much pleasure fast-forwarding through Kanye West on the “Saturday Night Live” 40th-anniversary show.
My partner and I saw “Fifty Shades of Grey.” Disappointing. We’ve seen more action in a San Francisco leather bar.
