With 75,000 concealed-carry permit holders in Kansas, you are, statistically speaking, in the same room with at least one of them every single day. You’re welcome.

Carrying a gun on your person outside your home will not do you a bit of good. If someone wants to do you harm, you will never see it coming.

As a senior citizen and a Kansan, do I have a right not to carry gun? Or is a constitutional amendment needed to secure this right?

Local elections should remain independent of national elections. Candidates should not have to declare a party affiliation, and there should be voting along party lines. It would be helpful, though, to know the name of the corporation or influential family that owns each candidate.

Congress should focus its attention on food, water, energy, climate and education for constituents, before it’s too late.

The people of Boston have once again proved how dumb they really are. First they vote for Obama for president, then they jump off rooftops onto piles of snow.

Our president is acting and sounding like a wimp by not proposing any definitive response to the ISIS violence. He should at least demand that the Muslim countries that denounce the extremists’ actions police their own ranks in an attempt to rid the world of this threat.

While the rest of the world’s leaders speak out against the threat of Islamic extremists, Obama continues to hide behind his politically correct rhetoric.

I think the U.S. birthrate is down because the world is a terrifying place. Sure looks like the end to me. I’m sure not pushing my kids for grandbabies. What kind of existence are we leaving to them?

How can more money sloshing around the economy from tax cuts not create jobs? Money from tax cuts is either spent, invested or saved, which over time creates jobs or current employees working more hours.

City of Wichita: Get your work done and get your equipment out of the way on East Douglas between Rock Road and Webb. This has gone on way too long.

I’ve eaten at a lot of restaurants in Wichita, and I can say for a fact that there is too much salt in the majority of food served. Restaurants: You have salt shakers on the table. Leave the salt out, and let us add it if we want it.

It’s hard to watch those commercials on TV for Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, the Atkins Diet or NutriSystem when you’re lying on the couch eating a box of Girl Scout cookies.
