I would like to know where that Brownback recall petition is. It is time we admit we made a big mistake and take steps to fix it. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing (electing Brownback) over again and expecting different results.
Reasoning is the most important attribute of people. It guides us through difficult times and complex issues and separates us from the animals – though you would hardly know that watching Brownback and his handpicked Legislature.
If I were a political science professor in Kansas waiting to collect my taxpayer-funded pension, I’d write negative commentaries about Brownback.
“Leave It to Beaver”-type foster homes? Great idea. It would be so nice for our most vulnerable children to have good, safe homes. Maybe it would stop some of the abuse and neglect foster children have suffered.
Parenting by particular church standards is good. Just remember the separation-of-church-and-state standard as well.
Alabama, Mississippi and Kansas – the real Deep South Bible Belt states. Racism and religion triumph over the law.
Thanks to the governor, there will be a lot more state employees fired. Just claim you think they are gay.
When the leader of the free world is a far-left progressive who panders to his nutty political base, rather than a commander in chief we wind up with a weenie in chief.

FBI Director James Comey said that in some communities people view the police as antagonists, not allies. You know in some communities, people view criminals as criminals. I am old enough to remember when the FBI were crime fighters and not social tools.
Sedgwick County will get no revenue from the Intrust Bank Arena this year. The building was built with cash and has no debt. How much is being “set back” for long-term maintenance?
Double the price of the Riverfest button is a bit high. I think a percentage, like $1 more, would be enough. That’s like everyone getting double the money for a raise.
