If the candidates I watched at the debate Monday night were the best the Republicans and Democrats can offer us, both parties should be embarrassed and ashamed.

In the debate, Donald Trump’s economic policy sounded a lot like Gov. Sam Brownback’s. Cut taxes on businesses and the wealthy for a trickle-down effect. In Kansas, we all know how that plan has worked.

Hillary Clinton continued to lie at the podium, citing how she plans to take care of this country when she really doesn’t care. She is in this race for power and glory. She is just another President Obama clone.

The new Trump is nothing more than a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

I think the journeyman business man, but amateur politician, did very well against the professional Clinton, who’s been dodging questions and spouting talking points for 30 years. I give him a B+.

Trump has defiantly lost the “fat” vote.

That wasn’t a debate. It was a free-for-all. We need a moderator who can stop the candidates butting in.

For those who may think Lester Holt was biased against Trump: If you watched the debate, it was obvious that Clinton answered all his questions and was on point, while Trump evaded almost everything. That forced Holt to follow up.

If you don’t have anything to hide, why did six people involved in Clinton’s e-mail get immunity? FBI director James Comey and Attorney General Loretta Lynch are not doing justice and should be fired.

Yup, Trump is more trustworthy. Trust him to bribe attorneys general, to defraud people with a fake university, to like only those people he can use, to issue unapologetic apologies, to “lie like other people breathe.” Trust him.

Fill a tall glass with ice. Add equal parts lemonade and iced tea. Raise your glass in a memorial toast to Arnold Palmer.

Airlines are making the seats smaller and our people are getting fatter. Do you see a problem here?
