It seems the fat has finally hit the fire in educators’ salaries. The cuts should be made away from the classroom, and the superintendent seems like a good place to start. Times are tough all over. All should be ready to sacrifice.
Our clueless governor should spend a day in my granddaughter’s very diverse fifth-grade classroom. There are 28 students, at least eight too many. He wouldn’t last an hour.
The public, parents and students would have much more respect for teachers if they would dress professionally. You don’t see our school administrators dressed sloppily.
So we name a county building after a president who tripled the national debt, raised taxes on the middle class, and secretly sold arms to terrorists. And, by the way, the Cold War ended when the Soviets went bankrupt due to falling oil prices and the war in Afghanistan.
Why is it we must “never forget” the horrors we suffered on 9/11 but African-Americans, who suffered 300 years of slavery and 100 years of American-style apartheid, need to “suck it up and move on”?
I saw the “Keeper of the Plains” recently. Why is it OK to spend public money for exhibits on Indian religious beliefs but not on Christian beliefs?
I don’t understand how Donald Trump supporters can watch him flip-flop on issue after issue, watch him refuse to release his tax records and still support him.
If Hillary Clinton can’t stand up getting into a van, how will she be able to stand up to Vladimir Putin?
The light of truth is Trump’s worst enemy.
I saw Bill Clinton recently on TV. I thought I was watching a rerun of a W.C. Fields movie.
The U.S. is giving $38 billion in military aid to Israel. Which is higher, the U.S. national debt or Israel’s? I hope Israel’s gift will be used to purchase jets from the U.S. Department of Defense’s unsuccessful $1.5 trillion F-15 program.
Why is there so much screaming on game shows, talk shows, etc. from exuberant fans? I miss Johnny Carson. The fans laughed and applauded.
I would like to suggest a new talk-show format: Hosts and guests are required to sit on their hands. Communication would be impossible.
