There were more admirable people for the Sedgwick County Commission to name the IRS building after than Ronald Reagan. If it had to be a Republican, it should have been Dwight Eisenhower. History has not been kind to Reagan, with his Iran-contra deal and other things.

If you are going to name a building after a great president, it should have been FDR. He led us out of the Great Depression and through World War II. Or it could have been Lincoln, who got us through the Civil War. Republicans love Reagan, but he doesn’t measure up.

Hillary Clinton put half of Donald Trump’s supporters in a “basket of deplorables.” This is “stronger together”? I guess you have to be a member of the elitist left to be part of the “together.” Count me out.

I agree with Clinton, but she should not have said 50 percent. She should have said 75 or 80 percent. Let’s be real. We all know the people who support Trump are a little unbalanced.

It is generally assumed that adults keep tabs on their children. In the Trump family, it looks like the roles are reversed and his children have to hang around to “mind” him.

Clinton claims she didn’t faint. That’s only because there were people there to prop her up, as usual.

The fact that Clinton was able to keep going, despite having pneumonia, shows that she is one tough cookie – exactly the kind of toughness we need from a president.

Basically, the whole Clinton campaign is sick, and it isn’t allergies.

How impressive would it be to have a summit meeting with all of the heads of the world’s leading countries with our esteemed leader wearing a baseball cap?

The KU football team is a joke. What makes WSU think it could do any better?

Fatty meat ruins barbecue.
