River Festival is still a bargain

The jump in price for a Wichita River Festival button is a bit of a shock – from $5 to $10. But the higher price is still a bargain given the quality and range of activities and events during the nine-day festival, which this year runs from May 29 through June 6. And $5 buttons are available through April 16 at selectaseat.com, and from April 17 through May 7 at the Intrust Bank Arena box office and Wichita Festivals, 444 E. William. Children’s buttons remain $3. Nobody likes a price increase, but it costs a lot to put on the city’s biggest and best party. – Phillip Brownlee
