Letters on DNC e-mails, Clinton, zoo, Elliott, Keith, Masterson
DNC e-mails leaked; narrative changes
Hacked and leaked e-mails from the head of the Democratic National Committee to other high-level operatives within the organization show there was a concerted effort within the DNC to eliminate Bernie Sanders from the race. Of course, Hillary Clinton claims she has no knowledge of the e-mails or the effort by the DNC to rig the race.
Once e-mails were revealed, Debbie Wasserman Schultz stepped down as the head of the DNC. Quickly thereafter, the DNC, mainstream media and the White House got their talking points lined up and the narrative changed.
Now there is no outrage or investigation into who was behind the plot, or who wrote the e-mails, or whom they were sent to. Rather, the new narrative being spewed and parroted is that Russia was involved and is trying to help Donald Trump win the election.
As always, there will be no one truly held accountable at any level for the corruption taking place within the Democratic Party or the DNC.

Trust Clinton
I trust Hillary Clinton. Ever since her college days she has worked hard to help the “little guy.” Her financial history is an open book. She has already served this country in different capacities.
I cringe when I hear the criticism heaped on her by those against her. She has been accused of many wrongdoings, but there is no proof. We should thank her for her service.
Our country is the leader of the free world. Clinton and President Obama have promoted peace throughout the nations. Violence is not a permanent solution to our problems. Friendship, discussion and compromise must be tried first.
Jo Scharff, Halstead
Guns and zoo
These days I can’t easily tell a good guy with a gun from a bad guy with a gun. I can only assume that he is a good guy if he’s wearing a police uniform.
Regarding the kerfuffle between the Sedgwick County Commission and the zoo: If the zoo ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
Alan N. Reeder, Bel Aire
Choose Keith
I encourage Sedgwick County voters to choose Greg Keith as District Court judge on Tuesday.
As a lawyer who serves as a municipal court prosecutor in Goddard, I have had numerous opportunities over the past six years to observe Keith’s conduct and demeanor in court. He is extremely knowledgeable in the law and always enforces that law in a fair and impartial manner.
Keith serves as a municipal court judge in several of the small cities surrounding Wichita and is uniformly respected by both prosecutors and defense counsel in those jurisdictions for the dedication with which he performs his official duties.
Keith is certainly qualified to serve based upon his years of experience both as an attorney and as a municipal court judge. But it is his commitment to justice that makes him a truly excellent candidate for Sedgwick County District Court judge, Division 3.
Kristen Wheeler, Wichita
Vote for Elliott
Join me in voting for Shawn Elliott for Sedgwick County District Court judge, Division 24. He is a great husband, father, lawyer and citizen. He is honest, truthful, fair, impartial and prudent.
Patricia Rausch, Wichita
Masterson proven
I am voting for Sen. Ty Masterson, R-Andover, in Tuesday’s primary, and I hope you will join me in giving a vote for fiscal conservatism, traditional marriage and life, and for a man who fights for integrity and transparency in government.
Masterson has a proven record of standing on principle even when faced with the opposition of the press, which regularly distorts his words and the facts. He is knowledgeable, professional, and knows how to work with differing opinions to come to an agreement and get the job done.
Masterson votes for our religious liberties, Second Amendment rights, and for the unborn child. He is courageous but civil in his fight.
There is no choice better for our state senator in these times where our liberties are being stripped away and the federal government looks to extend its power over the states.
Masterson will defend us and work for us. He’s proved it.
