Letters on GOP debates, Clinton lies, Benghazi hearing

Candidates can’t take the heat

Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus wants to cancel a Republican presidential debate on NBC in February (Oct. 31 Eagle). He and some of the candidates thought the questions during the CNBC debate were tough or mean-spirited.

I watched the debate to find out who isn’t telling the truth. I want “gotcha questions.” If Donald Trump, Gov. Chris Christie and the other candidates can’t take the heat from the moderators, how will they be able to stand toe-to-toe with Russian President Vladimir Putin? Anybody with skin that thin shouldn’t have his finger on a trillion-dollar Pentagon button.

If we (they) don’t want questions, that makes us (them) the people’s party – or, should I say, more like the party in the People’s Republic of China. They’re not big on questions either.

Clinton lies

Unless you watched poor, pitiful bobblehead Hillary Clinton’s recent hearing on Capitol Hill, or the Republican debate in which candidates turned tables on dishonest CNBC moderators, you might not realize that recent news headlines proved another disconnect of our left-wing media from reality.

Clinton lied and fell on her sword again and again to protect President Obama, hoping she wins the presidential prize.

Wise people of all races and colors wonder if Obama will survive his and Clinton’s lies without impeachment or being tried for treason.

God Himself has an eternal reward for lies. Clinton, Obama and leftist media must have no fear of God.

Put it to rest

As near as I can figure out, all the hullabaloo about Benghazi is about whether Hillary Clinton said the attack was caused by a video or was a planned attack by terrorists. It’s already been determined that she is not culpable for any wrongdoing concerning the attack itself, so the issue is only about what was said afterward.

Would it have made any difference in the outcome of the attack if she had said it was a planned attack carried out by terrorists instead of saying it was caused by a video? No. Would it have brought back those killed? No.

Republicans claim that comments about the video were aimed at influencing the outcome of the 2012 election. Does anyone really think that people who voted for President Obama in 2012 would not have voted for him if Clinton had said from the start that the attack was a planned attack by terrorists?

Taking into consideration that three Republicans admitted that the Benghazi hearings were nothing but a witch hunt to bring Clinton down, I would have to conclude that the whole thing needs to be put to rest.
