Supporting Trump

I’m not an ardent Trump supporter, but I don’t believe America has made a colossal blunder by electing him, and I support what he’s doing and what he’s done. I’ll admit that he’s made some mistakes, most likely because he’s a businessman and, unlike many of our current politicians who talk all the time without saying anything, Trump says what’s on his mind. I find it refreshing that he’s cut out the liberal mainstream media, and communicates directly with the American people. I understand the media’s chagrin in losing control of what message is going out.

I’ve never seen a president impugned so viciously. With everything he does or says, the mainstream media casts its aspersions, and insinuations as to his motives are always the vilest. If the press was half as vigilant during the last administration, I would be able to answer some of the questions I still have. Like who’s idea was it to blame Benghazi on a movie? Why did the FBI director list all the evidence against Hillary then not indict?

As to the current administration, I continually hear about collusion with the Russians and all kinds of innuendo about obstruction of justice, etc. Truth is that I don’t believe there is any evidence. Why? Because Washington, D.C., leaks like a sieve, and as hated a man as he is, if there was anything there it would have been leaked by now. How can it be that this president, with his limited intellect and his inept lackeys, can be so effective at hiding his misdeeds? Maybe it’s a reflection on the intelligence of those who are searching for it. For me to turn on this president, you are going to have to have more than, “he could have.”

Roger Munday

So sad to see the passing of Terry Thaine “Roger Munday” Frazier on June 28. Roger was not just a radio personality as mentioned in his obituary but a radio star of the golden days when radio D.J.s ruled the airwaves.

Those of us who loved listening to his catch phrase “this is Roger Munday on a Tuesday ‘till Wednesday” as teenagers growing up in Wichita, always smiled as he signed onto the AM radio airwaves for his 8 p.m. to midnight show on KLEO. I am sure most of us who are still left can also remember his wild radio promotions, including riding the Joyland roller coaster for 24 hours straight.

I would bet that on Tuesday, June 27, he whispered to those gathered around him “This is Roger Munday on a Tuesday ‘till Wednesday”

Frank LaForge, Wichita
