Ted Turner’s Z Bar Ranch among places hit by wildfire

Ted Turner’s ranch near Medicine Lodge is among the 405 square miles of land in Kansas that burned in a wildfire.

The 42,000-acre Z Bar ranch is a mix of prairie and canyons and is home to bison and bobcats.

Turner’s spokesman, Phillip Evans, would not talk about the fire, but put out this statement:

“We are immensely grateful that all Turner employees were unharmed, which is our principal concern and priority. We now look to provide support to our colleagues at Z-Bar, and will soon begin to repair the damage to this tremendous property.”
