Arkansas City man killed in head-on crash with semi
An Arkansas City man was killed Monday night in a head-on collision with a semi near Eureka in Greenwood County, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol accident report.
Kelly T. Oxford, 46, was killed on U.S. 54 near the K-99 intersection, the report said. That’s about 65 miles east of Wichita.
Oxford was driving a 2014 Chevrolet pickup about 9:15 p.m. when he turned east on U.S. 54 from K-99. His vehicle crossed over the center line and was struck by the westbound semi, the report said.
The 44-year-old driver of the semi, of Humboldt, was taken to a hospital in Eureka with injuries, the report said.
