Human skeletal remains found in Kansas field, official says
Skeletal remains of a human were found in a field in rural Morris County, the Kansas Bureau of Investigation said Friday.
The remains were found on Thursday evening in field near K-4 and South 2800 Road.
“The Morris County Sheriff’s Office and the KBI are aware of recent missing persons cases in the area,” the KBI said in a news release. “At this time, the identity of the deceased person has not been confirmed. Positive identification may take longer than typical cases due to the condition of the remains. An autopsy has been scheduled.”
Anyone with information about the case can contact the KBI at 1-800-KS-CRIME. Tips can also be submitted anonymously online at kbi.ks.gov/sar.
