Two drivers die in crash on K-14 in Kansas, sheriff’s office says
Both drivers were killed and a passenger injured in a Saturday crash on K-14 near Hutchinson, the Reno County Sheriff’s Office said.
The drivers died at the scene; the passenger in one of the vehicles was taken to the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center for their injuries.
“Their condition is unknown currently,” the sheriff’s office said in a news release at 12:24 p.m.
The wreck happened 10:03 a.m. on K-14 about a half-mile north of Highway 50. The drivers were in a Jeep Liberty headed northbound and a Chevrolet Malibu headed south.
“The cause of the crash remains under active investigation. No further details on contributing factors are available,” the sheriff’s office said. “The roadway will remain closed for several hours during scene investigation.”
