A 41-year-old Park City woman died Wednesday after rear-ending a semi-truck on I-135, the Kansas Highway Patrol said.

The crash happened around 2:15 p.m. in McPherson County.

Angel M. Nichols died at the scene, a KHP trooper wrote in a crash report. She was driving a 2020 Ford Explorer southbound when she rear-ended the semi while that driver “was slowing, moving forward and yielding to traffic ahead,” the trooper wrote.

The 48-year-old Wichita man driving the 2025 Western Star 49X and his passenger, a 57-year-old Salina man, were not injured, the report says. The report does not say if the semi had a trailer behind it.
