A 64-year-old woman died Tuesday in a crash between an SUV and a truck along I-70 west of Topeka.
The woman was identified as Kimberly G. Terhune of Maple Hill, a Kansas Highway Patrol crash log shows.
The accident was reported at 11:15 a.m. along I-70 in Wabaunsee County. Terhune was westbound on I-70 in a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe. At the same time, a 2019 1500 Dodge Ram truck carrying two people was heading east.
Terhune’s vehicle went through the highway median and collided with the Ram in the left eastbound lane of I-70, according to the highway patrol.
She died at the scene of the crash. The 73-year-old man driving the truck suffered minor injuries. His passenger, a 75-year-old woman, suffered serious injuries. Both were taken to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, the crash report said.
The man and woman in the Ram are from Manhattan.
