Ranch for sale is ‘one of the most expensive’ in Kansas at $25.6 million. Take a look
A ranch that’s one of the priciest pieces of land for sale in the state has landed on the real estate market in Fall River, Kansas, for $25.68 million.
Called EE Ranch, the property boasts more than 6,400 deeded acres and is used as a cow farm.
“This is one of the most expensive properties for sale in Kansas and a rare opportunity to acquire a substantial and well-equipped purebred Hereford ranch with a strong history and desirable location,” a news release regarding the property says.
Even though it’s currently owned by a famous equestrian, the property has a rich history revolving around cows.
“Used primarily over the last 75 years as a cow ranch, in 1994, the current owner created an amazing infrastructure that propelled the ranch upwards as a leader in the purebred Hereford world,” the listing on Hall and Hall says. “With 18 pastures watered by 26 ponds, some spring-fed, along with Shawnee Creek on the property’s west side and rural water at the headquarters and houses, this ranch is a real working outfit.”
Features, per the listing, include:
Sale barn
Two calving barns
Three cattle sheds
Heated cattle facility
Two hay barns
Shop
Two machine sheds
Included on the property are four houses: headquarters, the North House, the Bunk House and the Spohn House, with the latter three being rentals.
According to a news release, the ranch is owned by businesswoman and equestrian Jo Ellard, who developed the National Youth Cutting Horse Association and serves as a trustee of the NCHA Charities Foundation, her profile on Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame says.
Fall River is about a 75-mile drive east from Wichita.
