Two women found dead at a home in Salina on Sunday have been identified as Rosalinda Reyna, 64, and Martha Velazquez Reyna, 84, both from Salina, Salina police Cpt. James Feldman said.

Investigators said they died from blunt force trauma injuries.

A 35-year-old Salina man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of aggravated domestic battery, aggravated kidnapping and property damage, a Salina Police Department news release states.

Feldman said the two women and the man were related.

Salina officers were sent at 5:33 p.m. Sunday to a home in the 700 block of Vassar Drive for a domestic disturbance call. Police arrived and found the two women dead in the driveway, police previously said.

Officers found the man minutes later at 5:38 p.m. a couple blocks away from the scene and he was taken into custody.

He is scheduled to make his first appearance in court Wednesday, Saline County District Attorney John Reynolds said in a phone call.

Anyone with information on the case is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 825-TIPS or the SPD at 785-826-7210, and mention case number 25-4482.
