A Kansas teen died after the truck he was driving struck a concrete bridge rail on Sunday in central Kansas.

He was identified as Kolter Litke, 15, of Council Grove, the Morris County Sheriff’s Office said in a social media post.

Shortly before 10:55 a.m., the sheriff’s office received an alert through the Life Alert 360 mobile phone app about a possible vehicle crash in a rural area in Morris County, the sheriff’s office said.

A sheriff’s deputy found Litke inside a 2003 Chevy S10 pickup truck. The deputy started CPR until the teen was taken by EMS to the Morris County Hospital. He later died from his injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.

Investigators learned the truck was driving on a rural county road when it left the roadway and struck a concrete bridge rail, the post said.
