Man dead after crash involving motorcycle and semi along Kansas highway
An Arizona was killed in a collision involving a motorcycle and a semi on Friday in Pratt County.
The victim was identified as 67-year-old Gino Zavatta of Apache Junction, Arizona, Kansas Highway Patrol crash logs show.
The crash was reported around 4:38 p.m. along K-61 about 16 miles northeast of Pratt. Zavatta was driving 2015 Honda motorcycle north on K-61 while a semi was heading south on K-61, according to the report.
Zavatta crossed the center line to pass a vehicle and was struck by the semi. He was pronounced dead the scene.
The driver of the semi, 31-year-old Samuel Ghebremeskel, was not injured in the crash, the log added.
