Kansas man, 90, dies after car leaves roadway, rolls over into ditch

A Kansas man has died after his vehicle left the roadway and rolled into a ditch in Wabaunsee County on Tuesday morning.

Charles Thomas, 90, of Eskridge, was southbound on Keene Eskridge Road in a 2005 Buick LeSabre when the car veered off the road, over corrected and traveled across both lanes of traffic, Kansas Highway Patrol crash logs show. The incident was reported around 9:20 a.m. at 29500 Keene Eskridge Road at 21st Street.

The Buick entered a ditch and overturned, according to the crash log.

Thomas was taken to Stormont Vail Health in Topeka where he later died from his injuries, the report said.
