Kansas man dies in rollover collision when vehicle strikes tree Saturday night
One man died in an accident along the Kansas Turnpike in Shawnee County on Saturday night, Kansas Highway Patrol crash logs show.
The man was identified as 47-year-old Darryl Hayes Jr. of Oskaloosa, Kansas, the report said.
The crash was reported around 9:50 p.m. along I-470 in Shawnee County. Hayes Jr. was driving eastbound in a 2006 Ford F-150 when the pickup truck “left the roadway striking the embankment, rolled over striking a tree and rolled down the embankment,” the crash log said.
Hayes Jr. died at the scene of the crash, according to the report.
