Head-on Kansas accident leaves one woman dead and another seriously injured

An Arizona woman died in a head-on collision Monday in Crawford County, Kansas Highway Patrol crash logs show.

She was identified as 69-year-old Judith Keener of Kayenta, Arizona.

The crash was reported around 8:35 a.m. along K-47 about two miles west of Girard, Kansas. Keener was heading west on K-47 in a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox. Another driver, 43-year-old Kelli Bradshaw of Walnut, Kansas, was eastbound on K-47 in a 2016 Ford Taurus, the crash log said.

Bradshaw crossed the center line of the road and struck Keener head on, according to the report. Keener was pronounced dead at the scene. Bradshaw was taken to the Freeman Medical Center in Joplin, Missouri with suspected serious injuries.
