Two Kansas men dead, woman seriously injured after vehicle collision Saturday evening

Two men are dead and one woman was hospitalized after a vehicle collision Saturday evening in Thomas County, Kansas Highway Patrol crash logs said.

The crash was reported around 6:53 p.m. on county road 35 and U.S. Highway 83 junction, the report added.

Jerry Dewitt, 75, of Prairie View, Kansas, was heading east on U.S. 83 in a 2014 1500 RAM truck. The other driver involved in the crash was 25-year-old Casey Quagliano of Colby, Kansas. He was westbound on U.S. 83 in a 2005 Ford E-350 van, according to the crash log.

For unknown reasons, the RAM truck went over the center line and struck the Ford van, the report said.

Dewitt, Quagliano and Quagliano’s passenger, 24-year-old Sabryn Quagliano, were all taken to Citizens Medical Center in Colby, Kansas. Dewitt and Casey Quagliano later died from their injuries. Sabryn Quagliano suffered serious injuries, the report read.
