Man, 60s, dies in Winfield, Kansas, morning house fire: officials
A man in his 60s died in a house fire Wednesday morning in Winfield, officials said.
Officials are still investigating the cause, but it’s believed the fire started from a heater in the house, according to Brad Klein with the Winfield Fire/EMS Department. The house fire was reported at 8:20 a.m. at a home in the 100 block of North Minnesota.
The man, who lived alone, was found dead inside, Klein said. Officials are not releasing his name until family has been notified.
