Kansas man, 19, dies when off-road vehicle hits bull in middle of road, KHP says

A man is dead after the off-road vehicle he was driving hit a bull in Kingman County on Friday night, according to Kansas Highway Patrol crash logs.

The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. on Southeast 20th St. west of 120th Ave. Max Wewe, 19, of Pretty Prairie, was eastbound in a 2017 Polaris UTV when he collided with a bull in the roadway, the logs said.

The impact caused the off-road vehicle to tumble. Wewe and his passenger, 21-year-old Cade Fairchild of Cheney, were thrown out of the vehicle. Wewe died at the scene, and Fairchild was taken to a Wichita hospital with a suspected serious injury, the log said.
