A Hutchinson woman was killed in a crash that happened around 9:55 p.m. on Saturday in Chase County about 3 miles east of Strong City, Kansas Highway Patrol crash logs show.

Briana Lane, 32, was westbound on U.S. 50 in a 2015 Nissan Altima when for unknown reasons the car “crossed the center line into the eastbound lane and struck” a semi, according to the report.

The driver of the semi, 59-year-old Forest Dillard of Bakersfield, California, was not injured, crash logs say.

The report says Lane died at the scene.
