$225,000 worth of marijuana found in Kansas traffic stop on I-70

A 26-year-old Ohio man was arrested and roughly 176 pounds of marijuana found during a traffic stop on I-70 Tuesday morning, the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office said.

Keith L. Hackworth of Columbus, Ohio, was arrested on suspicion of possession of marijuana with intent to sell, the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. At 9:07 a.m., officers made a traffic stop on I-70 near Topeka and found the marijuana in the 2020 Ford Econoline van, which was rented in Ohio.

The marijuana is valued at roughly $225,000, the Sheriff’s Office says.
