The driver of a U.S. Postal Service mail truck “saved Christmas” after the vehicle caught fire, Kansas firefighters said.

“Your Prime delivery may have just lost its Prime,” The Osawatomie Volunteer Fire Department said Sunday in a Facebook post. “The good news is, the driver saved Christmas!”

Photos shared on Facebook by firefighters showed what appeared to be a smoldering and destroyed engine compartment. The area of the driver’s seat also appeared to have been damaged by the fire. Several packages, including Amazon Prime shipping boxes, had been removed and placed in a ditch a safe distance away from the smoking USPS vehicle.
