Hays man killed in Russell County rollover wreck
A 29-year-old Hays man died Tuesday after the car he was driving rolled and he was ejected from the vehicle in Russell County, the Kansas Highway Patrol reported.
According to the Highway Patrol: Dustin J. Lohrmeyer was headed south in a 1992 Oldsmobile on 187th Street at around 8:30 p.m. when he went into the right ditch, then over corrected.
“The vehicle slid broadside across both lanes (and) into the east ditch,” according to the Highway Patrol crash log. “The vehicle became airborne into a field rolling several times (and) coming to rest facing northeast on the passenger side of the vehicle.”
