St. Louis mother killed after pushing daughter away from SUV
A St. Louis woman has been fatally struck by an SUV outside of a Walgreens after pushing her 10-year-old daughter out of the way of the vehicle.
The St. Louis Fire Department says the girl wasn’t injured in the Monday incident.
Police say the two were walking out of the store when an SUV driver accidentally hit the gas pedal. They say the driver swerved to avoid the building before hitting the 33-year-old woman. She was pinned against a pillar and died at the scene.
The driver was treated at the scene for minor injuries. No charges have been reported. Police haven’t released their identities.
