Iowa man dies after crash in southeast Kansas
An Iowa man died this weekend as the result of injuries he sustained in a two-vehicle crash in southeast Kansas, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol report.
Lane Edward Marten, 47, of Battle Creek, Iowa, died at the hospital Sunday morning shortly after the crash in Montgomery County, the report said.
About 9:30 a.m., Marten was driving a 2014 Mitsubishi SUV eastbound on an entrance ramp that crossed over U.S. 169 at the U.S. 400 junction. He failed to stop at the stop sign and his vehicle was struck by a northbound pickup, the report said.
The 45-year-old driver, who is from Spring Hill, was taken to the hospital with possible injuries, the report said.
