Man killed while walking on I-70
A Florida man was walking in the eastbound lane of I-70 when he was hit and killed by a car that was also traveling east.
Cody Nordlund, 35, of New Port Richey, Florida, was in Saline County when he was struck by a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze at 9:35 p.m. on Sunday, according to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred about three miles east of the I-135 and I-70 interchange.
The driver of the Cruze was not injured.
Nordlund was pronounced dead at the scene.
