‘Modern Family’ star donates toys for Kansas kids
“Modern Family” star, Kansas City native and K-State alum Eric Stonestreet delivered a special holiday surprise to Kansas City Kansas Police Department on Giving Tuesday.
From dolls to board games to race cars, Stonestreet – with the help of Mattel toy manufacturer – donated toys to Kansas City, Kansas police officers on Tuesday morning.
“A truck load was delivered,” a spokesman with the department said in a Facebook message.
But the thousands of dollars worth of toys did not stop with the officers. Rather, the gifts will be given one more time.
The officers have since been randomly distributing the toys to kids in the Kansas City community, police Chief Terry Ziegler said on Twitter.
Stonestreet then stayed to take pictures and meet every officer, the spokesman said.
