Russell man killed in collision on I-70
A resident of Russell was killed while he was walking next to I-70 late Friday night, authorities said.
The collision occurred shortly before midnight in the eastbound lanes about 10 miles east of Russell, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol. That would be just east of Bunker Hill.
The victim was identified as Jeffrey Lynn Harris, 47. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Ford pickup that struck Harris, 53-year-old David Taylor of Rock Springs, Wyo., was not injured in the collision.
