Some Sedgwick County polling locations changed

The Sedgwick County Election Office announced Thursday that seven polling locations have changed ahead of the August primary.

Election Commissioner Tabitha Lehman said the location changes are due to a variety of reasons. Some have been changed to larger locations; others, like a private school, have become too costly. Lehman said some locations just didn’t want to be polling places anymore.

The changes affect about 60 precincts and 25,000 voters. Check the list to see where you vote.

Polling location changes

▪ Christ the King Church now Central Community Church, 6100 W. Maple, precincts 404, 504, 616

▪ Eastborough City Hall now Congregation Emanu-El, 7011 E. Central, precinct M102

▪ Church of the Holy Spirit now Goddard Pathway Church, 18800 W. Kellogg, precincts AF, AT01, AT03, AT11, AT12, AT13, AT14, AT15, AT16, AT17, AT19, GO GO01, GO02, GO03, GO04, IL01, IL03

▪ HealthCore Clinic now Progressive Missionary Baptist Church 2727 E. 25 St. North, precincts 116, 117, 127, 134

▪ First Presbyterian Church (Wichita) now Riverwalk Church of Christ, 225 N. Waco, precincts 103, 104, 105, 129, 320, 601

▪ Evergreen Recreation Center now Trinity Christian Center, 2356 N. Arkansas, precincts 615, 617, 626, 627

▪ First United Methodist Church (Valley Center) now Valley Center Christian Church, 1801 E. Fifth St., precincts KE07, KE16, KE17, KE18, KE19, KE20, KE21, KE22, KE23, KE24, KE25, VA, VA01, VA02, VA03, VC11, VC12, VC21, VC31, VC32, VC33, VC41, VC42, VC44

The primary will be held Aug. 2. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. The last day to register is July 12.
