Bernie Sanders wins Kansas Democratic caucus
With 90 percent of the vote counted, the Kansas Democratic Party has declared Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders the winner of Saturday’s Democratic caucus.
The margin of Sanders’ victory over former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was not immediately released.
Approximately 40,000 Democrats caucused in the state on Saturday, eclipsing the state’s last high-turnout caucus in 2008, when Barack Obama beat Clinton by a wide margin.
