Website: Carson, Trump, Sanders leading Kansas with most Facebook likes

Although a Facebook like is not the same thing as a vote or a poll response, warns Fivethirtyeight.com, a new map by the website shows that Kansas Facebook users love Ben Carson, Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders.

The biggest difference between the current national polls and the Facebook data is that Ben Carson is doing much better in Facebook likes than polls and Hillary Clinton is doing much worse.

And in Kansas that difference is even more stark: Carson has 30 percent of the Facebook likes in Kansas but 26 percent nationally, and Clinton has 6 percent of the Facebook likes in Kansas but 8 percent nationally.

Bernie Sanders has the highest proportion of likes of any candidate in a single county in Kansas, with 52 percent of the likes in Douglas County.

Sanders also has the highest support in any state: 77 percent of the likes in Vermont are to Bernie Sanders. Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz and Clinton all have lower shares in their home states.
