Planning to vote in the Sedgwick County primary? You’ve got until July 11 to register
The deadline for registering to vote before next month’s Sedgwick County primary election is Tuesday, July 11.
You can register to vote online through the Kansas secretary of state’s website, in person at any of 34 voter registration outposts across the county, or by mailing an application to the county election office.
The Aug. 1 primary will narrow the field of Wichita mayoral candidates from nine to two. The ballot will also feature a five-way race for the at-large seat on the Wichita school board and a four-way race for the District 4 City Council seat in southwest Wichita, along with a slew of suburban contests.
Early in-person voting at the county election office will begin July 17, and additional satellite locations will open July 27.
Advance voting applications will be mailed to registered voters throughout the month. To be mailed a ballot, applications must be received by the election office no later than July 25.
