Nearly 95 percent of registered Sedgwick County voters have not voted yet
The head of Sedgwick County elections said about 5.5 percent of registered voters in Sedgwick County have voted in the local elections as of 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7.
If you are one of the 94.5 percent who has not yet voted, election commissioner Tabitha Lehman has a reminder:
“Today is an election day, so we encourage you to get out and vote.”
She was not yet able to provide an exact count of how many votes have been cast, or if this voting rate matches trends from previous years.
Lehman said they have not encountered any problems at the polls, and everything is running smoothly.
To find your polling place, visit https://myvoteinfo.voteks.org/VoterView/Home.do or call the Sedgwick County Election Office at 316-660-7100.
The polls close at 7 p.m., but anyone in line at 7 p.m. will be allowed to stay and cast their vote.
